Powering the arts through education - it’s something that we at Brisbane Powerhouse are passionate about. Over the last three years in particular, we’ve been building the breadth of our programming to embrace a host of performers and exhibitions to capture the interest of young people.

The highly successful Powerkidz school holiday programs continue to build a loyal young following; and many of our music and comedy shows have great appeal to a Generation Y audience. Added to this entertaining mix is the venue itself – Brisbane Powerhouse is a unique educational resource with an intriguing history that we’re eager to share through site visits and technical tours.

In 2008, you’ll find we have an exciting choice of offerings for students that will engage, inspire and encourage them to participate in the arts. Our Secondary School Program encompasses theatre, music, visual arts - and the cutting-edge hybrids that are an inventive blend of all of these art forms. You’ll also enjoy expanded access for schools with special performances, affordable ticket pricing and education resource kits designed to help students get the most from their Powerhouse experiences.
