Capturing the colour, chaos and devotion of Kumbh Mela, the world’s largest religious gathering, Bundaberg photojournalist Nigel Brennan and his partner, Brisbane-based creative producer Alanna Hankey will hold a one-off exhibition of their photographs at Brisbane Powerhouse on May 24.

ANCIENT RITUALS AND CONTEMPORARY DANCE ONSTAGE IN OPAL VAPOUR

Trance rituals, shadow puppetry, video projections, traditional Indonesian music and contemporary Australian dance are all combined in the multi-award winning Opal Vapour. THE POWER OF TWO - LENNON AND MCCARTNEY, JOBS AND WOZNIAK, SASS AND BIDE

A first of its kind in Australia, Seven with Another (SWA) is a triannual exhibition that showcases 14 of the city’s leading and emerging creative individuals, from a variety of professions, and pairs them to create an artwork together. Dreamt and developed by two Brisbane girls Monique Kneepkens and Jessica Huddart, SWA is an original and contemporary take on the ‘art exhibition’ and where today’s artists reside.
