Brisbane Powerhouse is Queensland’s premier multi-arts venue presenting the best local, national and international contemporary performing arts events. It is located in the inner city suburb of New Farm, 3kms from Brisbane’s CBD on the banks of the Brisbane River boarding the beautiful New Farm Park.
Brisbane Powerhouse operates three performance spaces: the Powerhouse Theatre, which is the larger theatre space; the Visy Theatre, which is a smaller intimate theatre; and the Turbine Platform which is a larger open space visible from the main foyer and normally open to the general public.
Brisbane Powerhouse also has a number of function spaces which are hired out for events ranging from small meetings through to weddings and conferences.
The program presented at Brisbane Powerhouse is curated by a programming team which is lead by the Artistic Director, Andrew Ross.
Theatre Hire Booking Process
Review the information contained in the hyperlinks below before submitting the theatre hire enquiry form.
After the theatre hire enquiry form has been submitted the hirer will be notified within 10 working days on the status of the enquiry. Enquiries will be taken to the programming team for approval. If programming approves the event and dates are available the hirer will have the option to proceed to contract which secures the booking. The booking is not confirmed until a signed theatre hire agreement and booking deposit have been received by Brisbane Powerhouse. Tickets may not go on sale until this agreement has been executed.
