Rooftop Terrace

The most stunning river views in New Farm! Premier event space with an indoor area (132m2) and adjoining servery, accommodates maximum 120 people standing, 80 in theatre-style and up to 80 for dining. The room adjoins an outdoor covered deck (124m2) for relaxing breaks from the meeting environment or to extend your reception area for cocktails or dining.

Graffiti Room

A small meeting room with a capacity of 15, located in the Turbine Hall, the main public gathering point indoors. Ideal for interval drinks, meetings and training sessions.

Turbine Rehearsal Room

Located on the river level opposite the Visy Theatre. The 156m2 space features sprung timber floors, a mirror, air conditioning and a kitchenette. It is suited to break-out sessions, workshops and training sessions.

The Stores Building

Located in front of the main building The Stores is a simply presented 200m2 studio space and 100m2 rehearsal room. Ideal for breakout sessions, warm ups or informal receptions, features ground floor access, natural light and a sprung timber floor. The rehearsal room has a mirror. The Stores Studio is 12m high and is suitable for physical performance and circus work.

Alto (formally known as Spark Bar)

Opened in June 2007, you can organise breakfast, lunch or dinner in this new cafe. Alto will also host private functions when Brisbane Powerhouse reopens in June. Click here for more information on the new cafe, Alto.

Powerhouse Plaza

In front of the entrance to the Turbine Hall building is the Powerhouse Plaza. The relaxing outdoor settings of the neighboring parklands provide locations for receptions with a difference. The space is also suitable for outdoor team building exercises, large product and trade displays and art installations.

The Lawn

This park is the best kept secret in New Farm, with 750m2 of level ground, it accommodates large marquees and has a superb river outlook. A stunning and surprisingly private location in the Powerhouse precinct.
