In this clever spoof based on the Miss Marple story, 4.50 From Paddington, an axe murderer is on the loose in Berlin’s beauty industry and there is one person committed to solving the case.

Mrs Hoehne is a retired teacher living in Berlin. On her way to meet her best friend Rosa, she witnesses a brutal axe murder on a passing train. Karin goes straight to the police but they think she’s a crazy old lady. So Karin elicits Rosa’s help and together they get on the case.

The clues lead to the town salon, which is busy practicing for the “Snip Away” hairdressing fair. Mrs Hoehne gets a job as a trainee and the hunt is on. What is hidden in the basement? Who does the cosmetic surgeon have on his conscience? What is the stylist’s secret and why has the gay star coiffure have to die?
