Renew your mind, body and spirit in an enriching week of performance, art, workshops and ideas that celebrate Tibetan culture.
Brisbane Powerhouse will transform into a sacred space with stunning Thangka paintings of Buddhas, bodhisattvas and deities, and workshops that teach Tibetan singing, healing sounds and the art of sand mandala. A discussion panel will stimulate conversation about the current situation in Tibet, and highly respected teacher Ven Geshe Tashi Tsering will deliver a public talk, Compassionate Mind: Path to Happiness.
Each day of the festival will culminate in a unique concert. On the Thursday and Saturday evenings with Trikaya in …in the between – Meditations and Illuminations on The Tibetan Book of the Dead. On Friday evening Tenzin will be joined by string chamber orchestra Camerata of St John’s for the Mystical Tibet Concert that will include musical interpretations of love poems written by the controversial 6th Dalai Lama.
