MKA’s The Economist is the first play written in response to the massacre on Utoya Island, Norway. Inspired by Anders Breivik’s journal, this disturbingly entertaining play offers a snapshot into the human psyche at its worst.

About the Company:
Melbourne’s MKA: Theatre of New Writing opened in September 2010 by fellow playwrights Tobias Manderson-Galvin and Glyn Roberts. MKA dedicates itself to the creation and development of new plays. Playwright Tobias Manderson-Galvin has won numerous awards for his writing including the St Martins National Playwriting Competition. In addition to directing, Van Badham is also a playwright, novelist, screenwriter, critic, social commentator, broadcaster, dramaturg and cabaret performer.
