Inviting everyone to come and take part in celebrating the 65th Indonesian Independence Day at “Arisan Rakyat”

Indonesian Independence Day commemorates and honours the independence of Australia's closest neighbour from the Dutch in 1945.  Arisan Rakyat takes the Indonesian community back to its roots by coming together to honour their war heroes of this important national day.

Come and experience the market stalls offering delicious Indonesian delicacies and enjoy the programme of entertainment with traditional dance, games and live performances.  There will be a flag raising ceremony to honour the anniversary.

For those who fast in the holy month of Ramadhan, a breaking of the fast will be held followed by shalat (prayer).
