Bi The Way
Sat 4 Apr 09
Documentary
Travel through the changing sexual landscape of America, with five members of today’s bi-generation, the latest scientific reports and social opinions on bisexuality.
Throughout big cities and the bible belt alike, being bi is cool. Photos of emo boys kissing are posted by their girlfriends online, massively popular TV shows like “The OC” are depicting more youthful bi relationships and studies show that same-gender sexual experimentation is becoming more common across the board.
Featuring interviews with Michael Musto, Dan Savage, and Jonathan Caouette, this documentary battles the stereotypes against those who don’t fit in the typical sexual orientation binary (gay or straight). Is it simply the desire to try new things that drives the so-called sexual revolution of this generation? Could the latest findings shed light on the possibility of someone having physical yearnings for one gender but romantic feelings for another?
Directors Brittany Blockman and Josephine Decker lead the way in rethinking and redrawing the map of sexuality altogether.
