Broken Sky

Tue 5 Jun 07

The lingering caress from a familiar hand… The longing that weighs upon a broken heart… An exquisite love story of regret, yearning and hope.

Two gorgeous Mexican men, Gerardo and Jonás, are passionate lovers until Jonás becomes obsessed with another boy and drives Gerardo into the arms of Sérgio. But whoever they’re with, Gerardo and Jonás still long for each other.

The result is a delicate, truthful and highly emotional portrayal of two young souls at their most vulnerable and a poignant revelation of the transcendent power of first love.

OFFICIAL SELECTION Berlin International Film Festival 2006

“a boldly romantic, soaringly visual and near-wordless account of the devastating effect of first love… Broken Sky is as demanding as it is impressively all-encompassing.” Los Angeles Times

“Boy meets boy like you’ve never seen in Julián Hernández’s sex-drenched, extravagantly minimalist epic…” New York Times

“definitely one of the year's best films”- EUROPEANFILMS.NET
