Coming Out

A classic in the international queer film canon, thi sensitive love story is a plea for tolerance and the only film ever produced in communist East Germany to openly address gay issues.

Philipp and Matthias fall in love. The only problem is that Philipp, who has denied his sexuality for years, is with Tanja and expecting their child. And homosexuality isn’t exactly welcomed by society. In this heart-wrenching drama Philipp must choose between accepting his true self and protecting himself from the condemning world.
