Brisbane Powerhouse is Ten Birthday Party

In May, Brisbane Powerhouse will be exactly ten years old and to celebrate this milestone birthday the whole of Brisbane is invited to a day of free entertainment on Sunday 16 May.
There’s stuff to see and do for kids and adults alike with interactive art installations, circus performers, musical acts of all kinds including Regurgitator, Last Dinosaurs, Spacifix and Topology.
Bananas in Pyjamas put in a special appearance for the kids, there’s top notch comedy including Tripod and Charlie Pickering, some footy thanks to the Brisbane Lions and even a visit from the Lord Mayor of Brisbane.
DJ Robot Girl (aka Claire Marshall) will keep the crowd hopping in between acts and roving performers Polytoxic will keep the day full of fun and surprises.
The signature graffiti that adorns our walls is about to get better as two world renowned street artists, Blek Le Rat and Kasino are joined by Anthony Lister, touted as the next big name in contemporary art, to create brand new permanent artworks for our birthday.
