Brisbane Powerhouse presents
Brisbane Queer Film Festival
Fri 13 - Sun 22 Apr 2012
The thirteenth annual Brisbane Queer Film Festival brings you an outstanding selection of the most engaging, inspiring, and, of course, the most entertaining queer films from around the world.
This years festival line-up is as impressive as ever with highlights from across the globe including Sweden, Canada, South Africa and USA.
Festival favourites include With Every Heartbeat - an unexpected romance that turns everything upside down and Leave It On The Floor, the fabulously fierce musical narrative that takes you deep into L.A.’s Ball scene. Beauty (Skoonheid), is a must-see, telling the story of a conservative Afrikaans man who struggles to find the happiness he’s always searched for.
In Gun Hill Road, ex-con, Enrique, reunites with his family to find life as he remembered is now a little different and Hit So Hard gives you a look into the life of Patty Schemel, the hard-hitting drummer of Courtney Love’s rock band Hole.
You can count on the festival being full of simply the best LGBTI films on offer.
Please note: Brisbane Queer Film Festival contains films that are unclassified and therefore the entire festival is rated R. Films in this festival are legally restricted to 18+years. Photo ID may be required when collecting tickets.
