Jamie Klein is an out-of-work butch lesbian actress that will try almost anything for a role.
When channelling her feminine side for auditions fails, she starts to believe she can never be a typical leading lady. Spurred on by her roommate Lola’s successful cat actor, Jamie decides to take a different approach and auditions as her more natural butch self.
Much to her surprise, Jamie lands a role in an independent film as Steve – a man. Offended, but hard up for work, she reluctantly accepts the role. Inevitably, Jamie takes a liking to her dual existent but runs into trouble when she meets a sexy yet straight woman on set who takes a liking to male Jamie.
