BRISBANE FESTIVAL 2011 PRESENTS QUT FESTIVAL THEATRE
Custard
Sat 17 Sep 2011
Reunited
Brisbane audiences have the rare opportunity to see reunited rockers Custard perform in the glorious open air at QUT Festival Theatre on Saturday 17 September 2011.
Inspired by Devo, The Modern Lovers and the Go-Betweens, Custard stands tall as one of the most original and enduring groups to have emerged from Brisbane’s musical explosion of the early 1990s.
During a decade-long career they released five albums, toured endlessly, recorded two albums in the United States with producer Eric Drew Feldman and were perennial audience favourites in Triple J’s annual Hottest 100.
They are back, under the stars, for one night only.
“Frontman David McCormack has gone on to create and play in a number of different musical ensembles since Custard waved goodbye after a decade of service at the turn of the new millennium. Yet it was the el Custaro phenomenon that started out his musical journey, and one that will always hold a shiny spot smack-bang in the middle of the Australian Music landscape”. FasterLouder
