Brisbane City Council in partnership with Brisbane Marketing and Alliance Française present
Fête de la Musique Brisbane 2009
Sun 21 Jun 09
Do you like making music? Are you busting to strut your stuff? Fête de la Musique Brisbane is a fabulous day of FREE music where anyone interested in playing music is given the chance to get up and have a go. Brisbane Powerhouse is excited to continue supporting live and local music and be part of Fete de la Musique 2009.
Hundreds of musicians - from soloists to orchestras, jazz to hip-hop and choirs to rock bands – will be showcasing the rich diversity of Brisbane in dozens of locations across the City. It is a great opportunity for people to discover music everywhere, to appreciate our city’s music-makers and offer our community a day of free entertainment, fun and frivolity.
Fête de la Musique began in Paris in 1982 and is now presented in more than 330 cities in 108 countries worldwide every year on the same day - 21 June. Fête de la Musique Brisbane will be one of the major events in B150 events calendar, celebrating Brisbane’s 150th year of municipality.
So don’t miss out on Brisbane’s own musical extravaganza!
