Frankly!

Toss convention and expectation out the window, Frankly! seeks out that which is uncompromisingly original and unexpected.  

Frankly! rejoices in the bricolage of contemporary pop music and for its debut, Frankly! casts its ear afar - pulling in the finest sounds from Japan, Hong Kong and the USA.

Joining the festival in 2009 are the likes of James Stewart, vocalist and mastermind behind the acclaimed US outfit Xiu Xiu; Hong Kong's pop princess, The Pancakes, travels to Australia for the first time bringing with her a swag of the most eccentric pop; from Japan comes NikaSaya, which features astounding vocalist Saya and Tokyo songwriter Nikado Kazumi; and Australian electro-pop deconstructionist, Qua.

Add to this the queen of electronic music, Peaches (DJ set) and Japan's finest psych-folk duo, Tenniscoats, and you have the makings of one truly unforgettable day of melodic goodness!
