After a productive year of songwriting, Brisbane Jazz Artist Lauren Lucille has released an all originals album titled ‘Hidden Here’, featuring a superb jazz quartet and string trio.
Lauren was writing mainstream folk/pop songs on guitar and piano from as early as 10 years of age. Now at just 28 years old, she is acknowledged by her peers and in fact through out the state, as a great composer and performer. Lauren has recently been announced as a finalist in the 2012 qmusic Awards in the Jazz category. Not only is she greatly skilled with an uncanny ability to manipulate and interpret music, she is also blessed with a magnificent voice, a sound grasp of harmony and a sophisticated rhythmic sense.
‘Hidden Here’ showcases Lauren’s unique talent as a musician, composer, vocalist and performer, drawing on her greatest passions and aspirations to deliver to you this amazingly polished all original jazz album.
Supporting her on the night will be local Queensland female act 'Lady Abundance', comprising of three vocalists and a guitarist. The passionate attitude of front woman Zoe Lindsey, will leave you with food for thought on society and immerse you in the stories of love both found and lost. You will be left reveling and reminiscing with ‘the lady’s’ phat beats and catchy hooks, which are bound to reverberate in you for days on end.
The show case of Hidden Here- is unveiled, with the sultry, heartfelt and full bodied voice of Lauren Lucille backed by an extremely talented line up of accomplished Jazz musicians. You can expect to be transported by the beauty of each and every composition! The opening arrangements are designed to leave you with a sense of intrigue about the variety of the music on the album.
