Following critically acclaimed seasons in Brisbane, Berlin, Sydney, Perth and Singapore, dance theatre work lawn returns to Brisbane Powerhouse for its final season.

In a small one-room apartment high above the snow covered streets of Berlin a man is dreaming of the open spaces of his childhood. Beneath the wallpaper are the shadows of former tenants and a darker past he is trying to repress.

Accompanied with a live score composed and performed by Iain Grandage, lawn explores what one reviewer described as “the exquisite horror of banality.” (Realtime). Lawn was originally conceived in Berlin with Sasha Waltz and guests and with the support of the Tanztage Festival and the Sophiensaele and completed at Brisbane Powerhouse where it premiered in 2004.
