Maliq D’essentials

As part of A Life Tradition: Pesta Pakyat 08, this event will feature the infamous Indonesian soul & RnB sensation, Maliq D’essentials, followed by other Brisbane-based Indonesian talents that will perform traditional and modern musical acts.

Formed in 2002, Maliq & d’essentials features Angga and Indah on vocals, Ifa on piano and keyboard, Jawa on bass, Widi on drums and Amar on trumpet.

Maliq & d’essentials released their second album Free Your Mind in 2007. In this album, the bandhas explored more genres, combining R&B, 70s soul and hip-hop. The first single, Heaven is their main musical weapon; introducing a solid and groovy ambience, elegantly sang by their vocal duet.
