Volkswagen Opening Night Party with Scissor Sisters’ Tour DJ Sammy Jo

Get ready to party! Scissor Sisters’ Tour DJ Sammy Jo will get you moving with his unique blend of house, electro and dark disco.

If you were lucky enough to attend the Scissor Sisters’ only Australian sideshow out of Splendour in the Grass in Sydney last July, you would have had the pleasure of being eased in to the main attraction by their official tour DJ, Sammy Jo.

Having crisscrossed the globe with the notoriously flamboyant American band since 2004, Sammy Jo has entertained crowds far-and-wide, from warehouse parties in Antwerp to the V Festival mainstage in front of 60,000 people.

Sammy Jo first met Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears at the Click + Drag cyberfetish parties, and was invited by the singer to join the band on tour. It wasn’t long before he was asked to join as the official Scissor Sisters Tour DJ.  When he’s not touring with the Scissor Sisters, he’s spinning the decks in New York City.  

The evening will be hosted by Maiden Speech,  Brisbane's avant-garde Poetry-Pop act .
