Drama
Mark enjoys more than his fair share of drugs and anonymous sex. But when he finally hits rock bottom, his brother decides to check him into Genesis House, a Christian retreat dedicated to curing homosexuality.
At first Mark rejects the many rules and regulations of his new surroundings, but he soon opens up and embraces what Genesis House has to offer, even coming to think he can and should renounce his lifestyle choice.
Mark begins to grow closer to the other residents, especially long-time resident Scott, who is charged with helping Mark through the steps. What starts out as a friendship soon grows into an attraction both Mark and Scott have difficulty suppressing.
Gayle, the founder of Genesis House, becomes suspicious of them, accusing Scott of having more than platonic intentions. Seeing a threat to both Mark’s progress and the future of her ministry, Gayle starts to lose control and is forced to face some harsh truths about her past and her beliefs, while Scott and Mark are torn between their desire to change and their feelings for one another.
This film tackles the issues truthfully and the central drama carries the audience effortlessly along Mark’s path to self-discovery and love.
