Seven with Another: Sixth Edition

If you thought you’d seen every kind of art exhibition there was, think again.

What happens when you pair a film director with a Jeweller, a sculptor with an illustrator or a motion designer with a choreographer? You get the unexpected.

Seven w/ Another is a triennial art exhibition bringing Brisbane’s best creative minds into the spotlight. But it’s not your ordinary art exhibition; it pairs fourteen selected individuals to create seven unique artworks.

Far from being ‘high art’, Seven w/ Another seeks to delight and inspire its audience by bringing together creative talents from an array of different creative fields. By pairing contrasting skills, unexpected and incredible artworks are bound to unfold.

Dreamt up and developed by two emerging Brisbane talents in their own right, SWA is an original and contemporary take on the art exhibition and where today’s artists reside – all around us.

Artists for SWA’s 6th edition include:

Andy Monks, digital artist and illustrator whose most notable work includes 3D animation for the Oscar winning animation film Happy Feet; Dania Cornelius, vocalist, opera singer and a core member of Opera Queensland’s chorus; Paula Walden, known for her inventive jewellery and head pieces which has been presented at GDAY USA and in the Gallery of Modern Art's exhibition, 'Hats: An Anthology by Stephen Jones' and Masayo Yasuki, founder of fashion label Dogstar, which started at various markets around town before Masayo opened her own boutiques now in Fortitude Valley, Elizabeth Arcade, South Bank, Paddington and Edward Street.
