A story told in piercing glances and unspoken secrets, She Monkeys is a taboo-breaking dispatch from the front lines of modern adolescence.
In the height of the Swedish summer, 15-year-old Emma joins a local riding club and becomes embroiled in a disconcertingly intense friendship with the slightly older Cassandra. As they get to know each other they share a sense of wicked fun and quickly become best friends. But rapid-fire confusion sets in with this claustrophobic, deeply unsettling exploration of the jumbled parameters of teen sexuality.
