Some of Australia's most acclaimed female Indigenous singers and songwriters join together with their Indigenous sisters from New Zealand, the Pacific and Sudan in a powerful and symbolic collaboration.
A unique musical creation expressing the diverse and life-affirming experiences of contemporary Indigenous Women in 2010. Through song, language and story which celebrates their honour and identity, joy and pain, love and hope, these extraordinary women unite!
Singaot Sista (Sing Out Sister) is a tribute to female creativity, cultural diversity, beauty and endurance.

Emma Donovan (Gumbayngirr - Northern NSW) Internationally acclaimed singer/songwriter, a powerful, creative musical force incorporating her traditional language in all her songs.
Ursula Yovich (Maningrida North East Arnhem Land - Serbian) Her one woman stage show, Magpie Blues, encourages Australians of mixed cultural backgrounds to embrace their heritage. 2007 Helpmann Award Winner Best Female Actor In A Play.
Merenia (NZ Maori, Welsh & Romany) Sings in 5 languages and is one of Australia’s most impressive female recording artists & performers in the Soul, Club and Latin Genres.
Ngaiire (PNG) "A soulful massage for my eardrums, beautiful harmonies, great songs, sass, sincerity and soul to spare" John Butler
Georgia Corowa (South Seas/Far North QLD) A musical and spiritually grounded artist bringing her own unique flavour to contemporary soul.
Ajak Kwai (Dinka – Southern Sudan) A journey deeply feminine and unique from the Upper Nile to gospel singing in Cairo. Performing in Arabic, Sudanese & English.
Singaot Sista is accompanied by a unique collection of musicians from PNG & Queensland, the kings of Melanesian funk, Tribe of Jubal led by Ben Hakalitz (Yothu Yindi).
Free pre-show entertainment 5pm on the Turbine Platform co-presented with BEMAC.
Planet is the Brisbane Powerhouse dedicated world music and dance program. This project has received financial assistance from the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
