After the breakup with her enigmatic girlfriend Antonia, 35-year-old English literature teacher Julia is thrown into a desperate, painful situation. Her inner turmoil and conflicts hamper a process now made necessary - that of readapting to her new life. She finds a new friend, Helena, who also struggles with the experience of loss in her life. Julia immediately feels attracted to Helena, and sharing the same experience of pain and solicitude, the two women develop an intimate closeness.
