Tim Minchin was the winner of the Perrier Award for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2005, Festival Director’s Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2005 and Best Alternative Comedian at the US Comedy Arts Festival in 2007.
