Who's the Best?
Wed 10 - Sun 14 Aug 2011
It is time to take a vote. Sydney’s acclaimed performance trio, post, returns on a mission to settle an ongoing debate – which one of them actually is the best?
They’ve devised a system, but the criteria keep changing. There are Dolly quizzes, enneagram tests, underwear comparisons, hand-eye coordination assessments, voting, debates and pie charts.
A contest of identity with no end point, no rules and no real meaning, Who’s the Best? is performance as rivalry and life as competition. Here, everything is fair game: pulling focus, swapping roles, cutting space, victorious lap dances, slow claps and wet eyes.
It’s about winning. Dizzying highs of desire and adrenaline; and harrowing lows when all that’s left to do is film yourself crying in the bathroom and wait for it all to blow over.
"It's a clever, funny and often amazingly profound and insightful exploration of character, friendship, theatre and art.... Recommended." stagenoise
"...80 minutes of intricately arranged three-way riffing, unruly curtains, quiz-show sound cues and knowingly naff Eisteddfod-style choreography."The Sydney Morning Herald
"If you like a little bit of cringe in your comedy and you've not witnessed the anarchic, outrageous stylings of the post troupe, now is the time."TimeOut Sydney
