Before Jeff Stryker and Michael Lucas, Jack Wrangler was the star name in gay porn. His wild, unpredictable career and life is recounted in this sassy, sexy, can’t-miss documentary.  

Born into a showbiz family, John Robert Stillman found a different sort of stardom as the sandy blonde icon Jack Wrangler. The openly gay Wrangler tapped into the 70s gay zeitgeist and starred in over 80 porn films including Kansas City Trucking Co., Heavy Equipment and Wanted. He even conquered straight porn, famously playing the fire-shooting Beelzebub in The Devil in Miss Jones II. 

Offscreen, Wrangler’s life was equally sensational - at age 33 he fell in love and married Margaret Whiting, a 55-year-old 1940s pop star. Retiring from porn at Whiting’s insistence, Wrangler narrowly escaped the AIDS epidemic, and he turned to the legitimate stage. 

Archival footage, interviews and an utterly delightful account by Wrangler himself combine to portray the outrageous story of Jack Wrangler and his rise to the top of the gay, and then straight, adult film industry.
